AYÇA AKIN is an award-winning composer whose work spans film, dance, chamber ensembles, and orchestra. Trained in classical piano performance and orchestral composition, she is recognized for creating emotionally resonant and expressive music. Her compositions have been featured in multiple films and performed and recorded in Cologne, Budapest, New York City, and Pittsburgh, where she is based.

In 2025, her orchestral work Tempesta won the Annual Concert Competition of the International Alliance for Women in Music. Recent commissions include two new works for Confluence Ballet Company's Spring 2026 season. Akın holds degrees from the University of Michigan and Carnegie Mellon University.
