Lance Parkin, Director

AYÇA AKIN is an award-winning composer whose work spans film, dance, chamber ensembles, and orchestra. Trained in classical piano performance and orchestral composition, she creates emotionally driven music for visual storytelling and live performance.

Based in Pittsburgh, her work has been performed and recorded in Cologne, Budapest, New York City, and Pittsburgh. Her orchestral work Tempesta won the 2025 Annual Concert Competition of the International Alliance for Women in Music. Recent commissions include two works for Confluence Ballet Company's Spring 2026 season. She holds degrees from the University of Michigan and Carnegie Mellon University.
